In the winter everything is different. The trails are less busy, so often you feel like you own the whole forest. The snow suppresses all sounds. It's like you are floating through a magical wonderland on your snowshoes. The forest reveals its secrets through the snow. Some tracks such as ungulate, coyote and snowshoe hare tracks are common and sometimes you can find cougar, wolf or, mostly in early and late winter season, even bear tracks. If you are lucky you will see the owners of those tracks.
